Sandwich programmes refer to a tertiary degree course that includes normal classroom lectures in combination with an On-Job-Training (OJT) which is also referred to by many as an internship.
The student has two options during this form of study. The student can study for a while before going for an internship the rest of the semester or the student can choose to break for an internship every semester. These options are the student’s decisions to make. In most cases, sandwich programmes take longer to graduate compared to regular programmes.
With my explanation of what sandwich programmes are, you can easily get the meaning of UCC sandwich programmes from there.
There are sandwich programmes for both on-campus and off-campus applicants.
